2-page handwritten letter signed, on 8 1/4" x 11 3/4" company stationary, from Dr. John B. Laidley to a Mr. Johnson regarding assets of the Conway Electric Street Railway, including land and equipment. The letter is probably related to an appraisal needed for a stock offering, financial accounting, or potential sale of some or all assets to one of the rail lines; the Boston & Maine Railroad took a controlling interest in 1908. Strip of acidic paper at top of page 2 remains from when letter was adhered to scrapbook page.
