Description

Percussion revolver manufactured in Conway Mass. by Rufus Nichols & Edward Childs. Five or six barreled cylinder which had to be manually turned to line up the next loaded chamber. 34 gauge, 7 1/2" octagon barrel with walnut grip. The metal parts of the revolver are iron except the trigger guard, backstrap and blade front sight, which are German silver. The rear sight is adjustable for elevation. The initials "SMV"are carved on the handle.
Only about 25 were made.
