A collection of mock periodicals, handwritten by students of Conway Academy as a writing assignment. Includes articles, notices, poetry and short stories.

"The Indicator", Vol.1, No. 1, Jan. 29, 1851 -- A folded leaf of ruled paper, making a four page 7 1/2" x 10" booklet.

"The Gleaner", Vol 1, No. 3 -- containing short stories, proverbs and notices. Two folded leaves of unlined blue paper, making an eight page 7 1/2" x 12 1/2" booklet, tied with a paper ribbon through the binding.

"The Casket", Vol. 1, No. 3, Nov. 8, 1854 -- containing an editorial, an essay and a poem titled "For the Casket". Three folded leaves making for a 7 1/2" x 10" twelve page booklet, tied at the binding with a pink ribbon.

"The Student's Repository", Vol. 7, No. 4. Nov. 20, 1855 -- containing an editorial, some poetry and a long essay. One folded lined sheet with loose ruled pages inserted, making sixteen total pages.

Essay "The Duties of Children to Parents", written on blue ruled paper and folded over, making four total pages.

Essay "The Fishing Expedition" on blue ruled paper, folded over, making four total pages. Also contains a letter to the Editor and some poetry.
