10" x 7 1/2" drawing book of Mattie Alice Stowe. Paper cover has her name written twice and is dated 1885, with a note indicating it may have been received on Dec. 24th, 1884.
Nearly all of the 14 pages have been drawn upon on both sides. Drawings include: water colors of fruits and flowers, cherubs, young children and fashion, poetry snippets, and other doodles and sketches.
There is no back cover page, which is missing. Edges are rough and worn and binding is loose.
