Franklin County National Metal Coin Bank

Coin banks--1900s

Oval shaped brass bank, 4 1/4" (l) x 2 1/4" (w) x 3" (h), with a metal carrying handle on the top. One end has a slot and is engraved "FOR COIN ONLY" and the opposite side has a 3/8" (d) hole engraved "FOR BILLS ONLY." The bottom has a hinged door with a keyhole. The key is missing. Patent Nos. 776702
and 915676. The front of the bank has a riveted plate that reads:

GREENFIELD, MASS.

The bank fits into a full size cardboard box lid. The lower half of the box is missing.
