Wooden box, 5-7/8" x 3 ½" x 1", lined with blue velvet; lid lining lifts up with a pocket (lining of blue paper); compass 4-3/8"; 2 handle-like objects; 1 triangular marking tool; 1 small fastening screw; 1 steel bar 1-3/8"; brass hinged lid; inscription pressed into wood on box top reads: “Fred Holcomb of Conway Mass Carriage Maker of Conway Mass Carriage?”
