Rocking Horse

Children's toys--1880s

37" x 12" rocking horse. Dual curved sleigh style runners with painted sideboards enclosing an infant sized bench seat. All wooden construction, painted horse with saddle on both sides of each sideboards. Scratched, chipped and fairly worn. Donor's note indicates it was used by Neil A. Fountain and Jessamy Fountain Haley as children in 1895-1900 and later by Haley children in the 1920's (Patience, Priscilla and Benjamin).
