Description

Melodeon, 46" (l), 22" (d) and 30" (h), with Rosewood veneer case, and ivory keys and ebony sharps. The instrument was purchased by Alice Clapp (1867-1932) about 1904 in Greenfield, Mass. It was professionally restored in 1987 to playable condition. Much of the surface damage was repaired and refinished. It is not known if the instrument is playable now.
