Printed document, 6" x 7 3/4", with handwritten insertions declaring "recovered judgment" on behalf of Abijah Bruce of Pelham, Mass. against Moses Daniels of Conway, Mass., in the sum of 13 shillings and 5 pence "Debt or Damage," and 16 shillings and 7 pence for "Charges of Suit." For failure of payment, the directive by Josiah Chauncy, Justice of the Peace in Amherst, Mass., commits Moses Daniels to jail in Springfield or Northampton until full payment is made. Signed by Josiah Chauncy.
