Lithographic Print "Siesta" by Asa Cheffetz

11" x 8 1/2" B/W lithographic print of a wood block engraving on manila paper. Image shows three cows lying in a meadow among trees and grass, with a distant cloudy sky. 1 1/2" border with "'Siesta' ~ (Conway, Mass.)" written in pencil beneath. Signed and dated by artist in lower right.

Accompanied by "New England Engraved - The Prints of Asa Cheffetz" (Springfield, Mass., Museum of Fine Arts, 1984). Soft cover, 158 pages. The print "Siesta" appears on page 60 as plate 24.

Also included is a six-page, 8 1/2" x 11" exhibition program: "New England Engraved, the Prints of Asa Cheffetz," printed by The Museum of Fine Arts, Springfield, Mass. It contains a biographical sketch of Cheffetz and catalog information of all 50 pieces in the exhibit. "Siesta" is item #12.
