Description

2-page handwritten warrant, on legal size paper, requiring Joseph Avery, "one of the freeholders in the town of Conway" to summon freeholders of School District No. 11 to hold a meeting in the schoolhouse on July 7, 1819, to decide on repairs to schoolhouse and whether or not it should be moved, and how to pay for it. Warrant is signed by Conway's three selectmen: Elijah Nash, Isaac Baker, and Joseph Rice. On the reverse, Joseph Avery writes that the request has been satisfied and signs his name. Paper is creased and torn.
